As of today, that is on 21 May at 12:30 precisely, there is exactly one month to go to the very first start!

Yesterday was set as the deadline for entries (numbers of competitors in teams), and some national teams have their selections already decided.

EOC starts with the Sprint Relay, taking place for the very first time at EOC. The City of Bruntál will host this premiere before we move to Jeseník and its surroundings for the other races (see here for the location of all venues on the map)

Yesterday was set as the deadline for entries and up to now we have received entries from 33 countries, thereof 28 for EOC (the others for World Cup only), and 323 accredited runners (311 for EOC). However we know that these numbers can still vary slightly. For ETOC we have 137 entries from 18 countries.


Some national teams have already made their selections. You can have a look on the internet (usually with the help of google translator).:


The Czech Republic – 15 names are known now - see here , last one post for forest disciplines will be clear after 30 April Czech cup long race, four missing appointments for sprint will be known after Czech sprint champs, held on 7 May, but up to two can be clear after 1 May world cup sprint already. selection races for forest disciplines on 23-24 April, selections to be announced on 27th. Sprint selections will be finalised after Czech sprint champs, which takes place on 7th May. Five runners (Jana Knapová, Denisa Kosová, Vojtěch Král, Jan Procházka, Jan Šedivý) have direct selection for some of the disciplines.


Denmark – no specific selection races, final team was selected on 9 May and made public on 12 May - read here. Emma Klingenberg is missing, following her decision to stop her elite career, announced in March (read here)


Finland - Selection races: Turku Sprint 15.4. (resultstracking), Silja-Rastit 17.4. - middle distance (results, tracking - womenmen), FinnSpring 23.4 long distance (results, tracking - womenmen). Also the World Cup in Poland and international results (WOC, EOC, WC) from recent years were taken into account.


France – Thierry Gueorgiou has decided not to come, sparing himself for WOC as his top event for this year. Maps and tracking of the French WRE races which were used as selection race for the Long: women and men. For the Sprint and Middle, separate races were organised. Results can be seen here (Sélection Moyenne Distance and Sélection Sprint on 23 April and Nationale Sud-Est (WRE) race on 24 April).
