Following EOC 2016, two rounds of the World Cup are behind us too.
Current standings have clear leaders in both classes, with the women led by Tove Alexandersson (340 p.), ahead of Judith Wyder (297 p.) and Maja Alm (225 p.). The men are dominated by another double EOC winner, Matthias Kyburz (364 p.), second is Daniel Hubmann (247 p.) and third Gustav Bergman (233 p.). Complete standings can be found here. After the Middle medal ceremony on Friday 27 May the current leaders were announced, with both Tove and Matthias dressed in yellow jerseys, the dress for those who are in the lead for now.
The classification of EOC races also as World Cup events meant that not only European runners were present. Not many others came, but one of them was very well visible in results: 1992-born Canadian Emily Kemp, at present living in Europe, was fourth in the Middle final, only 19 seconds behind bronze, and seventh in the Long.
